Sign in to your TheGamer account Ahead of the game's big showcase later this month, it appears as though gameplay of Grand Theft Auto 6 has leaked online. There were questions over the validity of the leak, but the footage has since been taken down via copyright strike, almost certainly confirming its legitimacy. The footage features the game's main protagonist Jason playing basketball at a safehouse. We can't show the footage itself, for obvious reasons, but the clip begins with Jason relaxing at a safehouse, before getting up and hopping over the railing onto the ground below. We then see him pick up a basketball and shoot some hoops, before the ball bounces off the board and falls into a nearby river. During all of this, we can see the game's UI, which may or may not be the complete UI, since we have no idea how old this leak actually is, as well as some of the surrounding area of Jason's safehouse. There is still the chance this footage may not be legit, but it seems incredibly likely now that either Rockstar or Take-Two has intervened. GTA 6's Full Map Also May Have Leaked Rockstar Games On top of that, what appears to be the game's full map has also leaked online. Again, there are questions surrounding the validity of this map, but it has been shared by the same person that leaked the gameplay footage, that much has been confirmed. As we can see from this leaked map, the vast majority of the game's map is apparently mountainous and foresty, with Vice City tucked away in the bottom right corner being the only really dense area of note. It's quite similar to GTA 5's map in that regard, though there are some interesting areas of note in the bottom left, which seems to be an airport of some kind. Given that the gameplay footage is just Jason playing basketball in pure silence, it's doubtful this is the footage that was meant for the Netflix showcase later this month. In any case, it's another pretty disastrous leak for Rockstar, and it will probably be hoping it can get to the showcase on August 27 without further leaks.
