Sign in to your ScreenRant account Ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6's major gameplay event on Netflix tomorrow, Rockstar Games issued an official statement earlier today regarding the recent wave of leaks from the hacker group CyberLeek. The group have released several major leaks over the past few weeks that have been "heartbreaking" to GTA 6 developers, according to their statement. The official Rockstar post on X seems to have preempted a major new leak on the way, with gamers anticipating the release of the game's opening prologue any day now. That has now been confirmed, with the game's opening prologue featuring Lucia released as a major new leak from CyberLeek via their Telegram account and now circulating across various channels online. !!! WARNING: THIS ARTICLE INCLUDES MAJOR GAMEPLAY SPOILERS FOR GTA 6 !!! In a massive new leak from the notorious CyberLeek group, parts of the cinematic opening prologue featuring Lucia has been released online, revealing the game's opening moments alongside gameplay that shows how players will start off in the game. You can find the full leak via Reddit, but be forewarned that it contains major spoilers for the game's beginning scenes. The leak reveals an opening scene with Lucia staring out the window in prison, followed by several flashbacks to her sitting in a café and suggesting that she's completely out of money and down on her luck. The scene then cuts back to Lucia in prison and switches to player-controlled gameplay footage of her interacting with a few cellmates and then eventually leaving the prison for another facility. The leak also features several interactions hinting at Lucia's involvement with the now-fired prison warden and indicates she's been participating in some criminal activities with the jail staff and the warden himself. During the gameplay parts of the opening moments, we also get a sense of how interactions will be handled, with conversations giving players a set of response options and the NPCs reacting dynamically based on your choices. According to CyberLeek's overlay statement on the video, this is a "recent" build, and they claim that the game "is not ready at all," going so far as to allege that Rockstar is overworking their developers in a major crunch to get the game optimized and ready for launch in November. These claims have not been confirmed or verified by any official channels, and they should be taken with a grain of salt, given the CyberLeek group is promoting a meme coin pump-and-dump scheme to stay afloat (so they claim). The prologue leak follows a series of major gameplay reveals from the group over the past few weeks and will likely be disappointing for Rockstar as well given the timing of the Netflix special arriving tomorrow. That said, interest in Grand Theft Auto 6 has skyrocketed in recent weeks, and it's hard to imagine the leaks will impact the game's success.
