Cyberleek is back with its biggest GTA 6 leak-related threat yet Grand Theft Auto 6Image: Rockstar Games Sign in to your Polygon.com account Cyberleek returned last week with a wave of new Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks, and is now making their biggest leak threat yet. Cyberleek claims it will leak a finished build of the game if Rockstar doesn't meet their conditions. Cyberleek terrorized Rockstar Games for weeks by leaking footage of Grand Theft Auto 6 earlier this year. It leaked gameplay from early builds of GTA 6, story missions, and in-game locations, and more. Cyberleek was quiet through September, but started leaking again last week, showing nude versions of characters like Jason. In late August, Grand Theft Auto 6 publisher Take-Two Interactive had enough and started hunting down the hacker. It subpoenaed Discord and Microsoft to find more information about Cyberleek's identity and whereabouts. It looked like Take-Two was closing in on Cyberleek, and when the leaker disappeared for nearly a month, it seemed like the company had caught up to them. Now, it's clear that Cyberleek won't disappear quietly Cyberleek's latest demand for Rockstar Cyberleek claims it has a full build of GTA 6 and will release it to the public if its cryptocurrency reaches a $30 million market cap. However, it apparently won't release the build if Take-Two agrees to give GTA 6 a physical on-disc release and apologizes publicly. Since the start, Cyberleek has claimed it's leaking the game because it's angry that GTA 6's physical release will be just a code in a box, and it believes gamers have the right to own physical media for what they play. There's clearly a financial incentive to what they are doing as well, since their leaks have been directly tied to cryptocurrency the leaker can profit from, so it's ultimately a big crypto scheme. As of this writing, $CYBERLEEK sits at a $6 million market cap, and it's been rising since the leaker's offer went live. It is highly unlikely that Take-Two will meet the leaker's demands, especially so close to launch. If Cyberleek truly isn't bluffing, all we can do now is sit and wait to see what happens.
