GTA 6 Leaker Announces They Won’t Release The Full Game: ‘The Leeks Stop For Now’

Infamous Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker Cyberleek has taken down their website that was sharing various clips of GTA 6 gameplay ahead of its release in November and claims that they have no plan to release a full build of the game publicly nor post any more leaks. They also denied the whole operation was a crypto scam rug pull. On October 14, Cyberleek updated their now-offline site with a three-part message titled “End of the road” where they explained that it was all over and that they weren’t going to share the game’s ending, though they claimed they did indeed have it, as it would “ruin the experience” for gamers and fans. “CL has the ending,” said Cyberleek. “It was considered. It would punish Take-Two greatly – but ruin the experience for the gamers, who did nothing wrong. Take-Two would show CL no mercy – why should CL show any to them? Still: Take-Two was punished enough. The ending stays unpublished. Proof: the latest leek – clips from the final missions, out of context, revealing nothing.” However, Cyberleek did warn that there were still story spoilers left to post and alleged that if someone was to “remove” Cyberleek it would trip a dead man’s switch and would share the leaks online. Cyberleek also once again claimed to have a build of GTA 6. However, because their cryptocoin didn’t reach a value of $30 million, they aren’t going to upload it. “The 30M was not reached, so no build,” said the leaker. “Uploading 200+ GB anonymously is a serious risk – worth it only if the milestone funded the secret project. Terms honored as written.” Cyberleek says this wasn’t a big rug pull to make money Despite ample evidence that this all seemed like a big rug pull to sucker people for money, Cyberleek denied those accusations and called out people who suggested the leaker didn’t have access to the game or that it was all part of some scam. “CL sold twice. Both times: trading fees only, as always announced. The first sale caused a cascade: everyone else sold, and CL was blamed for the crowd’s dump. The chain is public: what CL holds, sold, and delivered. What was promised was kept. The token was always a donation, never an investment. No returns promised, none implied. Rugpull talk comes from people who never opened the chain. Mostly YouTubers. Do not trust them. They have no idea what they are talking about.” “Sad, the negativity – and how few believe anything real is behind this,” posted the leaker. “CL was transparent about the token from day one: a donation, never an investment. It changed nothing – influencers decided the story before the facts arrived. The Edict stands. The leeks stop here. For now.” Cyberleek first started sharing leaked gameplay clips of GTA 6 back in August, providing fans with their first look at what the upcoming open-world game would actually look like while playing it. These leaks seemed to stop around the same time Rockstar dropped an official extended look at GTA 6‘s gameplay. However, earlier this month, Cyberleek returned with new leaked gameplay featuring both Jason and Lucia naked. Cyberleek has previously claimed that GTA 6 skipping a physical release was part of the reason behind these leaks, though their messaging has been mixed and confusing, with them also claiming they were working on some kind of game project that needed funds. For now at least, the leaks are coming to an end. That doesn’t mean this saga is over. I imagine Rockstar and Take-Two’s legal teams are still hunting down Cyberleek to figure out who was behind the leaks. So I expect this isn’t the last time Cyberleek will pop up on Kotaku dot com.
