GTA 6 Gamers Furiously Debate New Logo

To be fair, fans have had all the time in the world to dissect and study the excruciatingly small number of crumbs we’ve been given so far between Grand Theft Auto 6 trailers, preorder edition content, and assets plastered across Rockstar’s website. Plus, it’s unclear if we’re going to hear from Rockstar again in the final months before Grand Theft Auto 6’s official release date. As part of their intrepid detective work in the meantime, fans have been quick to notice details as subtle as the Grand Theft Auto 6 logo's outline changing its orange, pink, and purple gradient to a stark white, and they’re now debating whether they prefer how the whole logo looks compared to the franchise’s classic one. On Twitter/X, user GTA 6 Countdown is wondering which logo concept fans like best: the one that Grand Theft Auto 6 now boasts, or the old logo concept that has defined Grand Theft Auto for the last 25 years. It’s not as if Grand Theft Auto 6 is undergoing a major aesthetic rebranding via such a tweak, yet it does make a remarkable difference nonetheless: not only is the color of the outline on the ‘VI’ new, but the ‘VI’ has also now been enlarged and placed behind the Pricedown Black ‘Grand Theft Auto’ font, with the text unmistakably reduced in size. Understandably, fans are split down the middle with no clear consensus. Some fans, like user roryydays, would like to see a mix of both, as they’re ultimately undecided: “I think the new design looks better but I’d rather just keep it the way it is with the classic design and have the ‘VI’ at the bottom right.” Some fans seem adamant one way or the other, with user douglas_dogg believing the new one is “much prettier” and user GTAVI_Lucia_x writing, “Classic style all the way!” The classic logo will obviously be significantly nostalgic for Grand Theft Auto fans, since that’s the design that the franchise has stuck with for almost three decades and three of its most highly celebrated games: Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Grand Theft Auto 5. Some fans will be attached to the classic logo for this reason, while others eager to move on to the future of the Grand Theft Auto franchise may be more willing to accept the changes this new era is bringing.
