The horror crash unfolded at about 1.30pm on a wooded stretch between Ochamps and Recogne in Belgium’s Luxembourg province. Firefighters rushed to the scene but the dad was pronounced dead. Local police have launched an investigation to determine the exact reason why the car went off the road. But the car may have struck a tree as it careered into the wooded area, reports say. There were several people in the vehicle at the time of the deadly collision. Most read in The Sun Jordan had married Pauline in a civil ceremony at Libramont Town Hall a little over a month earlier. Her brother, the driver, was injured and rushed to hospital. Jordan lived in Libramont and ran an estate agency called Pepit-Immo with Pauline, which they set up in 2022. He also sponsored the youth teams at football club RSC Habay. Libin mayor Anne Laffut said: “It’s horrible, I haven’t been able to think of anything else since the announcement.” She continued: “This person had been legally married for a little over a month. It was his witness who was driving. “They were going to the church where everyone was waiting for them. “It should have been their most beautiful day.” Paying tribute, she added: “I think especially of his two young children, who must have put on their finest clothes and were looking forward to their parents’ wedding.” Habay mayor Olivier Barthélémy said Jordan was easy to do business with and a familiar face in the village through his estate agency. “He was a very pleasant person. Always cheerful, always laughing.”
