Encouraging mouldy cheese naysayers to give the Steak and Stilton Bake a go, Greggs has made a promise to those who buy the pastry and decide its not for them. Most read in Money If you don’t enjoy the Steak and Stilton Bake, it can be swapped for a regular Steak Bake at no extra cost, with no questions asked. The deal is being offered after a Greggs survey of 2,000 people found that 11 per cent of Brits have never even tried Stilton, while 28 per cent avoid it. Greggs also found that 57 per cent of people would give new foods a try more often if they had “insurance” and wouldn’t lose money if they didn’t like it. Zoe Harris, customer director at Greggs, said: “It’s been seven long years, and while we know Steak & Stilton has a fiercely loyal fan base, we get that there are still some Stilton sceptics out there. “Blue cheese can be a bold sell, but we’re so confident this bake will win people over that we’re literally guaranteeing it,” she said of the scheme. “Consider this the ultimate taste test with zero risk, if you really can’t stand the Stilton, our classic Steak Bake is on us, no questions asked.” Comment now
