The formula figures out which parts of the nation are experiencing perfect outdoor lunching weather based on the forecast for each day. The bargain lunch combination includes a cold Greggs baguette along with a beloved sausage roll from £4.75. With 12 regions up for analysis, the deal will only be available in areas where the weather for that day has been deemed just right by the Greggs Quicknic Code. Most read in Money “Each week we’ll give you the Quicknic forecast, our unique formula calculates the Quicknic days for the week ahead, split by region,” Greggs explained on Instagram. “If it’s a Quicknic day, you’ll be able to get any cold baguette of your choice and a Sausage Roll from just £4.75 every day from 11am-4pm.” Meanwhile, Zoe Harris, customer and marketing director at Greggs, said: “Nobody has ever put mathematicians, scientists and Sausage Roll makers together to create a lunch deal before, but that’s exactly what we’ve done. “Determining who gets the Quicknic deal isn’t based on just one weather forecast. Our formula crunches six important factors, from temperature and cloud cover to pollen levels and chance of rain, before deciding whether our new deal goes live in each region,” she added. “It may be the most scientifically advanced Sausage Roll and baguette deal ever created.” Reacting to the rather complex conditions of the lunchtime deal, some Greggs fans admitted they were a little confused by it all. “This makes no sense,” one wrote, while another added: “I’m lost.” One more asked: “What does this even mean?” Someone else wrote: “Almost a fiver meal deal with no drink?
