A BONKERS Green Party education plan is considering making school optional until the age of seven – and give every child a free vegetarian lunch. Taxpayers will cough up millions to provide children with a free-of-charge vegetarian lunch with dietary requirements catered for. All rich families will have the option to use state-funded childcare throughout their kids’ childhood. Extra cash will need to be found to reduce class sizes to fewer than 20 pupils which are recommended in the paper. State-funded schools would also be brought back under public control, with successful academy schools banned from expanding. A permanent ban will be placed on new Free Schools. A Green Party spokesperson said: “We’re proud to make policy in a democratic way, and all Green Party members can submit motions to our conference. These motions are subject to a prioritisation ballot. The vast majority will not be discussed.” Comment now
