Green sea turtle rescued, released in Isabela’s Dinapigue town

(Photo courtesy of DENR-PENRO Isabela) CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — A green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) was rescued after being found entangled in a fishing net and later released in coastal waters off Dinapigue, Isabela, on Tuesday. Sept. 8. The turtle measured approximately 45 inches in length and 42 inches in width. It was accidentally caught in the fishing net of Marshall Soliven, 54, a resident and fisherman from Purok 1 in Barangay Dibulo, according to the Community Environment and Natural Resources Sub-Office there.
