He said in a planning application: “The garden spaces are used for exercising our dog and we grow vegetables in the allotment areas.” Sign up for the Football newsletter Thank you! After months of wrangling the 30-year-old has been given a “positive certificate” to continue using the land as a garden, despite objections that the move could lead to further building projects on it. England international Grealish is following former Three Lions skipper David Beckham by growing vegetables. Making its decision, Cheshire East Council says in a report: “The current owner has owned the house since 2022 and has included a declaration of use of the land as garden. “On the balance of probability it has been demonstrated that the land . . . has been used as residential garden for more than ten years before the date of this application.” The parish council had objected — saying if the woodland was classed as garden, it would pave the way for future planning applications.
