Grant Hill tells Vince Carter his co-ROY with Jason Kidd was ‘robbery’ he’s still mad about

Throughout NBA history, there have only been three instances where the Rookie of the Year Award has been split between two players. The most recent one was in 2000 when both Elton Brand and Steve Francis shared the honor. But before that, Grant Hill and Jason Kidd each took home Rookie of the Year honors, something that Hill has still not gotten over.During a recent appearance on ‘Cousins with Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady,’ Grant Hill explained why he feels like he was robbed for the 1995 Rookie of the Year and should not have had to share it with Jason Kidd.“I got robbed. J-Kidd knows that, I got robbed. That’s my guy, we came in together. I always joke about this too, I always tell him, we were teammates at the Nike camp in high school. I don’t think he passed me the ball one time. He was a rising sophomore, I’m a rising senior, and he’s supposed to be this point guard and he never passed me the ball at Nike camp,” Hill said.“He goes one spot ahead of me in the draft and then I got to share the Rookie of the Year with him. I’m still a little bitter about that. But if I got to share it with somebody, it might as well be him.
