GRAND National-winning trainer Emmet Mullins revealed he was involved in a car crash on his way to Navan races. But he fortunately walked away unscathed from the smash while travelling to the County Meath track. He was also named as the new owner of Jim Bolger’s legendary Coolcullen yard and has received his first horses from Kia Joorabchian’s Amo Racing group. He almost missed Dallas Star’s debut hurdles win after suffering an accident on his way in. Mullins, the nephew of legendary jumps trainer Willie, said on Racing TV: “We had a little accident, a car crash on the way in. “Everyone’s walking anyway so we were unscathed. “We got in just as the horses were leaving the ring.” It was not immediately clear where the crash took place or how many other people or vehicles were involved. But fortunately it appeared there had been nothing too severe with Mullins and those with him, with seemingly all able to get to the track.
