Published Oct 7, 2026, 3:41 PM EDT Simon is a Computer Science BSc graduate who has been writing about technology since 2014, and using Windows machines since 3.1. After working for an indie game studio and acting as the family's go-to technician for all computer issues, he found his passion for writing and decided to use his skill set to write about all things tech. Since beginning his writing career, he has written for many different publications such as WorldStart, Listverse, and MakeTechEasier. However, after finding his home at MakeUseOf in February 2019, he would eventually move on to its sister site, XDA, to bring the latest and greatest in Windows, Linux, and DIY electronics. Examples include bicycle part diagrams, scalable roast planners, and receipt-based bill splitters. Rolling out to Plus/Pro/Business/Enterprise today; Free and Go get it tomorrow. One thing I really enjoy when using Gemini is the little interactive elements it will generate at times. I don't even need to ask for one; I'll ask for an overview comparing two things, or explaining a complex topic, and it will automatically generate a fun little diagram or chart I can click on to understand it more easily. Now, OpenAI is introducing something similar to GPT-6. It's called Intelligent UI, and it aims to add a visual aid to whatever it's explaining at the time. GPT-6's Intelligent UI breaks down complicated topics into easy-to-understand diagrams They're looking very useful already Credit: OpenAI As announced on the OpenAI blog, the company is adding Intelligent UI to GPT-6. It seemingly works akin to Google Gemini's feature, where ChatGPT will detect when and where a diagram would be most useful, then create one on the fly, embedding it right within the chat window. Sometimes it's a table, sometimes it's a graph, and sometimes it's something you can mouse over and click on to learn more about things. The examples OpenAI showed were pretty impressive, including a little diagram showing the components of a bicycle, a Sunday roast ingredients planner that you can scale yourself according to the number of visitors, and even an interactive clipboard-style panel for calculating who owes what at a restaurant, using data from a receipt photo. The best part is, you won't need to wait long until you can use it, regardless of what tier you're on. It's releasing to the ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers today, but those on the Free and Go plans need not worry, as they'll get it during a rollout tomorrow.
