Govt didn't rule out Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation: Ashutosh Ranka

In an exclusive conversation with India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, Cockroach Janta Party spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka discussed the ongoing protests surrounding paper leaks and examination issues, including NEET 2024 and 2025. Ranka stated that the delegation meeting the government demanded Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, compensation for affected families, and the withdrawal of legal cases against peaceful protesters. According to Ranka, the government delegation did not rule out Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation during discussions and committed to taking the demand to the Prime Minister. He emphasised, "Dharmendra Pradhan has to go," asserting that accountability is non-negotiable for students and protesters nationwide. Ranka noted that an in-principle agreement was reached regarding financial compensation and the dropping of FIRs against protesters. Addressing concerns about physical exhaustion after 35 days of demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, Ranka stated that the movement has expanded beyond CJP as citizens across multiple cities demand systemic educational reforms and accountability.
