Google has already confirmed the event, with Trevor Noah hosting and Stephen Curry and Alex Cooper appearing as special guests. The company has also teased the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 5 ahead of the launch. As for the phones, Google has kept most of the details under wraps. But, as always, leaks, retailer listings and Google’s own teasers have already given us a pretty good idea of what’s coming. This year, Google is expected to launch four phones: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. And there could be quite a few changes this time around, from the processor and cameras to storage, design and, perhaps most importantly, pricing. So, what exactly is Google planning for the Pixel 11 series? Let’s take a closer look at what the new Pixel phones are shaping up to offer. What to expect from Google Pixel 11 1. Pixel 11 could get much more expensive: First things first, the price. The Pixel 11 is tipped to start at $899, while the Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold could cost $1,099, $1,299 and $1,899, respectively. That would mean a $100 increase for most models, while the foldable could be $400 more expensive. In India, the Pixel 11 could start around Rs 89,999, with the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL potentially landing around Rs 1,19,999 and Rs 1,34,999. The Pro Fold could move closer to Rs 1.8 lakh. For reference, the Pixel 10 launched in India at Rs 79,999 for 256GB, while the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL started at Rs 1,09,999 and Rs 1,24,999. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold launched at Rs 1,72,999.2. A new HiLight LED: Google also appears to be making a noticeable change to the Pixel 11’s design. The camera bar could get a new multicoloured LED module called HiLight– earlier rumored as "Pixel Glow"-- is expected to light up for notifications and possibly charging and Gemini-related interactions. 3. Tensor G6: All four Pixel 11 models are expected to use Google’s new Tensor G6 processor. Leaks suggest the chip could be manufactured on TSMC’s 2nm process, with Google also reportedly switching to a new PowerVR GPU. A MediaTek M90 modem is also tipped, replacing the previous Samsung modem technology.4. Pro phones could get less RAM: Interestingly, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL may not simply increase specifications. Reports suggest the entry-level Pro models could start with 12GB RAM instead of 16GB, although higher-memory versions are expected. The Pro Fold is also tipped to offer 12GB and 16GB options.5. 256GB could become the new starting point: Similar to Apple, now Google is anticipated to drop the 128GB option and make 256GB the base storage across the Pixel 11 range. The Pro Fold is expected to go up to 1TB, giving buyers 256GB, 512GB and 1TB options.6. New colours are coming: The Pixel 11 range is expected to get refreshed colour options. The standard model has been linked to shades including Hibiscus, Frost, Obsidian and Pistachio, while the Pro models could arrive in colours such as Olive, Obsidian, Canyon and Fog. The Pro Fold is expected to come in fewer options, including Obsidian and Olive.7. Displays could get some upgrades: On front, the vanilla Pixel 11 is tipped to retain a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 11 Pro could also have a 6.3-inch panel, while the Pro XL is expected to feature a larger 6.8-inch screen. The Pro Fold could retain its two-screen approach, with a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner panel, both supporting 120Hz.8. The standard Pixel 11 may change its camera setup: The base Pixel 11 could see one of the more controversial changes. Leaks suggest Google may remove the telephoto camera and use a 48-megapixel main camera alongside a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Super Res Zoom could reportedly reach 30x.9. Pro zoom could go even further: Google may also push its computational photography further. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL are rumoured to support up to 120x AI-enhanced zoom, up from 100x on the previous generation.10. Battery and charging could change: The Pixel 11 could pack a 4,985mAh battery, while the Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold are tipped to feature 4,850mAh, 5,115mAh and 4,806mAh batteries, respectively. The Pro XL could support 45W wired charging, while the Pro Fold may get 30W charging. Qi2 wireless charging is also expected on the Pro models and foldable.Alongside the phones, Google is also expected to announce the Pixel Watch 5 and potentially other hardware. - EndsPublished By: Divya BhatiPublished On: Aug 11, 2026 16:21 IST
