The launch event is set to kick off at 3 pm EST on August 12, that is 3:30 am Indina Standered Time on August 13.Google is expected to reveal four smartphones at the event — the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. However, this time the price of the devices would be higher due to the ongoing memory crisis. If the rumours are to be believed, each model could be priced $100 more than the previous Pixel 10 models. Infact, a few days ago, Google’s Vice President of Devices and Services, Shakil Barkat, confirmed it, saying Google has “shielded our consumers from supply fluctuations for as long as possible," but that "the economics have fundamentally shifted and we're not immune to that."To cope with the memory and component crisis, the Mountain View-based tech giant could reduce component counts in its devices as part of cost-cutting. Like the Pixel 11 Pro could see its starting RAM drop from 16GB to 12GB. At the same time, Google is also shipping new smartphones with new features and upgraded processors, from the new Pixel Glow lighting system to the Tensor G6 chipset and an upgraded camera setup. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Pixel 11 series.Google Pixel 11 series priceSince we have briefly discussed the ongoing memory crisis and the expected price hike for the new Pixel lineup, let’s begin with the expected price of the Google Pixel 11 series. The standard Pixel 11 is likely to start at $899 or around Rs 85,600, which would be a $100 increase over the Pixel 10's starting price. The Pixel 11 Pro could ship for $1,099 (around Rs 1,04,600), while the Pixel 11 Pro XL could cost $1,299 (roughly Rs 1,23,678). And lastly, the foldable model, aka Pixel 11 Pro Fold, could cost $1,899 or Rs 1,80,804.Google Pixel 11 series coloursAhead of the official debut, veteran tipster Evan Blass — who goes by @evanblass on X — has shared images of each model, revealing the colours of the upcoming Pixel devices. The standard Pixel 11 is expected to ship in four colourways: Hibiscus, Frost, Obsidian and Pistachio. The brighter Hibiscus and Pistachio colours could give the Pixel 11 a more vibrant look compared to Google's usual black and grey shades.On the other hand, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL could come in Dune, Light Fog, Midnight Haze, and Pine colourways. And we could see the new Pixel foldable in two colours: Pine, a slight green, and graphite grey.Google Pixel 11 series displayThe Pixel 11 lineup could bring brighter and smoother screens across the range. The standard Pixel 11 is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch Actua OLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.The Pixel 11 Pro could use a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display with a higher resolution and 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The Pro XL is expected to go bigger with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen, while the Pro Fold could feature an 8-inch inner display and a 6.4-inch cover screen. Both foldable displays are tipped to support a 120Hz refresh rate.Google Pixel 11 series processorThe Pixel 11 series could get a major performance upgrade with Google's Tensor G6 chipset. The new chip is expected to be paired with the Titan M3 security chip and could be offered with up to 16GB of RAM on the higher-end models.The new Tensor chip is also expected to play an important role in Google's AI plans. The company could use the extra processing power to run more AI features directly on the phone, although we will have to wait for the official launch to see how much of a difference it makes in everyday use.Google Pixel 11 series cameraGoogle could continue to keep a clear gap between the standard Pixel 11 and its Pro models when it comes to cameras. The standard model is tipped to get a 48-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, along with support for up to 30x Super Res Zoom.The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL could feature a more advanced triple-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto camera is expected to offer 5x optical zoom and up to 120x Pro Zoom.The Pixel 11 Pro Fold could take a slightly different approach with three rear cameras and two selfie cameras, one on each display. Google is also expected to use AI to improve image processing and zoom performance across the lineup.Google Pixel 11 series batteryBattery sizes are expected to differ across the Pixel 11 models. The standard Pixel 11 could pack a 4,985mAh battery, while the Pixel 11 Pro may come with a slightly smaller 4,850mAh cell.The Pixel 11 Pro XL could have the largest battery among the regular models, with a 5,115mAh capacity and 45W wired charging. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is tipped to feature a 4,806mAh battery with 30W wired charging. The Pro models and the foldable are also expected to support Qi2 wireless charging.The numbers are not dramatically different from the previous generation, so Google's new Tensor G6 chip could play an important role in improving battery life.
