Golden Tempo’s last-to-first Kentucky Derby win explained

Golden Tempo went from being last in a field of 18 horses in the Kentucky Derby three-quarters of a mile into the race to winning it by a neck. Jose Ortiz saved ground along the rail for much of the trip while long shot Six Speed and other rivals set a hot pace around the track at Churchill Downs.
