(Credit: Instagram/@princenarula)Prince Narula has expressed that his daughter Ikhleen has changed him completely, and that he now feels god has given him a goddess. The actor and reality show star said fatherhood has softened him in ways he had never imagined and given his life a new purpose. The 35-year-old, who is known for speaking his mind both on reality television and in real life, said he now spends most of his time with his daughter and looks at life differently. He also spoke about parenting with wife Yuvika Chaudhary, his approach to work, and why he has become more selective about the projects he takes up.Asked how fatherhood had changed him, Narula replied, "Completely." He said there is a contrast between how people see him on screen and how he is in real life."Everyone has two personalities. If you meet me, I will be very soft-spoken. I will make you laugh. But if you see me on reality shows, you will see me angry. That's my responsibility. People like to see me like this. They want to know my point of view," he said. He added that there was a time when he would react instantly to everything around him. "We did what other people did. We were not afraid of anyone. We reacted to whatever action came in front of us," he said.He said that changed after his daughter was born. "Since Ikhleen has come, I spend 70 per cent of my time with her. If she is not there, I FaceTime her," he shared. Calling fatherhood a blessing, Narula said having a daughter had given his life a new purpose. "A girl's father is different from everyone else. It's a blessing. I feel that God has given me a Goddess. I have to take care of her. Now I am doing things for her," he said.He also said his daughter keeps him on his toes. "Yes, she does a lot of drama. She is growing up, and I am very happy. A father is always possessive about his daughter. I am the same," he said.Work choices and Yuvika's roleNarula said his wife, Yuvika Chaudhary, remains his biggest sounding board when it comes to work. "Yes, 100 per cent. Whenever there is a project, I talk to her about it, whether I should do it or not," he said.He added that he has become more selective with his professional choices. "There are a lot of reality shows that I get offered, but I say no to them. I did The 50 because my friend made it. It was his first show as well, so I felt it was my responsibility," he said.Narula said he has started stepping away from many things. "I have started leaving a lot of things. Sometimes I feel whether to go there or not. Then there are fights because everyone has a different point of view. It's not like if you say no, people will ask where Prince went. Some people like it, some don't," he said.He said he now wants to follow his own path. "I want to be different from that race. That's why I host shows. I will be bringing my shows, which I have written. So there are a lot of things I am busy with," he said.Parenting Ikhleen togetherSpeaking about parenting, Narula said he and Yuvika are equally involved in raising their daughter. "Both. No one can take her place. There is no power in the world that can take a mother's place. At the same time, no one can take a father's place," he said.He said becoming the father of a daughter had changed the way he thinks. "After my daughter was born, I felt that a father who loves his daughter is different. He doesn't think about himself. He thinks about what to do for her," he said.Explaining the difference between a mother's and a father's perspective, he added, "A mother's way of thinking is very different from a father. A father wants to give her all the happiness. He wants to provide her with the best schooling. That's what I want to provide her."Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary met on Bigg Boss 9 in 2015, where their friendship turned into a relationship. They married in October 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Ikleen Narula, through IVF in October 2024.
