GNOME Shotwell 33 Photo Manager Released With GTK4 Port

It's been quite some time since hearing any news out of the Shotwell photo manager project for GNOME, but out today is Shotwell 33 with the long-awaited GTK4 port. This is a big update with Shotwell 0.32 having released back in April 2023 and since then just point releases while working toward this big Shotwell 33 release. Shotwell 33 goes from GTK3 to GTK4 for its UI as the most notable change. Shotwell 33 also adds support for opening URIs within the viewer, reworked printing, addressing various memory leaks and potential crashes, and a variety of other minor enhancements throughout. There are also many bug fixes with Shotwell 33. Shotwell 33's release comes ahead of the GNOME 51 desktop release next week. The Shotwell 33.0 photo manager for those interested in it can be found at GNOME GitLab.
