The GNOME OS Linux distribution to date has just been in GNOME OS Nightly form for tracking the latest nightly packages of GNOME in their current development form. GNOME OS Preview was announced today as their trek toward a stable GNOME OS in using the latest GNOME stable releases rather than nightly form. GNOME developers are working toward making GNOME OS a end-user general purpose OS rather than just a nightly testing artifact. Particularly with enhancements GNOME OS has been seeing around systemd-homed and systemd-sysupdate and other modern tech features, there is increased appeal in making it available to a wider audience. The initial GNOME OS Preview is tracking the latest GNOME 51.1 components. In my initial brief testing of GNOME OS Preview it has been working out well.
