Glasgow model reveals hidden cost of her 30R boobs which set her back £125,000 every year

A SCOTTISH model has revealed the hidden cost of her big boobs – as they set her back more than £125,000 every year. Summer Robert suffers from macromastia, a rare condition that causes her breasts to keep growing. And while her appearance has helped her build a highly successful online career, she says the physical and financial reality is far removed from the glamorous image many people see on social media. Sign up for the Fabulous newsletter Thank you! Summer estimates that she spends approximately £14,000 a year on massages, as much as £10,000 on bras and around £2,000 on private healthcare. The OnlyFans star, from Glasgow, also claims to have spent around £100,000 on flights since November, as her 30R chest makes travelling comfortably in standard economy seating extremely difficult. As an international content creator, she regularly jets between Scotland, Australia, the United States and Europe – taking around 60 flights in the past nine months. Summer describes the additional expenses as a “hidden tax” imposed by a world designed around a one-size-fits-all standard “There is a real physical and financial toll of navigating a world that feels increasingly designed for one standard body,” she says. “People see the social media and OnlyFans side and think it is all glitz and glam, but there are so many things I have to pay for just to be comfortable and live without constant pain.” Most read in Fabulous Summer’s boobs place significant pressure on her back, so she has to book around three massages every week to manage the pain. At her regular clinic, a block of 10 massages costs £900. Maintaining three appointments a week brings the annual cost to more than £14,000, and the price can become significantly higher while she is travelling. “I get three massages a week because my back is sore all the time,” Summer says. “It is £900 for a block of 10 here, but in America I have paid around £300 for one massage. I need them for my back. It is not just something I do to relax.” Before finding financial success through OnlyFans, Summer says regular treatment was simply not an option. “I never really got massages before,” she says. “I was just like, ‘Cool, I’ll suffer’. Now that I have the money, my quality of life is so much better. I can pay for the things that actually help my body.” Finding supportive bras is another significant and unavoidable expense. Summer says an everyday bra can cost approximately £120, while the most expensive bra she has purchased cost £800. Even specialist bras rarely last for long because her breasts continue to grow. “My most expensive bra was £800,” she says. “A normal one is probably around £120, but they do not last. They literally do not.” And going without a bra is not a realistic alternative. Summer insisted: “There is no way I’m not wearing one. I’d give myself a black eye.” She estimates she has spent as much as £10,000 on bras over the past year, with additional money going towards specialist bikinis and clothing. A lot of my waitressing money went towards bras.” Medical care adds another recurring cost. Summer now pays approximately £150 a month for private health insurance, in addition to the cost of appointments and treatments. She estimates that her medical expenses total around £2,000 a year. She says she began relying on private healthcare after repeatedly feeling dismissed when she sought help through the NHS. “When I was younger and trying to get reductions, doctors would just say, ‘You’re fine. You’ll grow out of it,’” she says. “I have even had doctors say, ‘That’s a problem I wish I had.’ No one takes me seriously. “I always go private now because I feel like people listen when I am paying. It is another cost, but I do not see the point in going somewhere when my concerns are going to be dismissed.” Despite the physical and financial challenges, Summer says she remains proud of her body and does not want her experience to be framed solely as negative. She said: “It is fun, for sure, and I love my body so much, but there are definitely downsides.” For Summer, OnlyFans has not simply allowed her to profit from her appearance. It has given her the financial freedom to manage the pain and expenses her condition has created. “Before, I would just suffer,” she says. “Now, if something helps, I can spend the money.” “The massages help, the right bras help and private healthcare helps. Having the money has given me a much better quality of life.” “But none of it is cheap.” Comment now
