Girl, 9, dies after being found seriously injured at Scots industrial estate as man arrested over ‘suspicious’ death

A MAN has been arrested in connection with the “suspicious” death of a nine-year-old girl found injured at a Scots industrial estate. The young child was found seriously injured at the Elliot Industrial Estate in Arbroath shortly after midnight. Detectives are treating the girl’s death as “suspicious”. A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her death. Cops say the girl’s family are being supported as the investigation continues. Detective Superintendent Nicky McGovern said: “Around 12.02am on Monday, 3 August, 2026, officers were called to Elliot Industrial Estate in Arbroath after a nine-year-old girl was found with serious injuries.
