Doval had been designated for assignment by Pittsburgh earlier this week. The Giants transferred righty Blade Tidwell to the 60-day injured list to open a 40-man spot for the move. Tidwell was recommended for UCL surgery this week, so he is certainly done for this year and likely all of next year as well. More to come. View Comments (6)
