The Fifa president upset most of the footballing world with his plans to sell stakes of the biggest tournament to private investors. It also showed off moments such as Norway‘s iconic rowing celebration and Lionel Messi crying at the end of the final after Argentina‘s defeat. It also focused on the landmark achievements from the tournament, such as the record number of goals (308) and over nine million people at fan festivals. Despite trying to sell off stakes in the much-loved World Cup, Infantino ironically spoke of “uniting” in the caption.
