Georgia lands the commitment of 4-star safety Adryan Cole

Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County four-star Adryan Cole is finally a Georgia commit. The No. 80 overall prospect in the 2027 Rivals Rankings announced his commitment to the in-state program on Saturday. Cole was offered by the Bulldogs back in his freshman season of high school football. He visited every chance he got. Georgia made him a priority. Cole listened to the other schools, and in the end, his dream school was the right school. The four-star safety grew up watching Georgia football. The Bulldogs’ staff built a strong connection throughout the four years of his recruitment. The length and depth of Georgia’s relationship have always stood out to Cole. “It’s great, just knowing they’re an in-state team, keeping up with me,” Cole told DawgsHQ back on Jan. 29. “That’s a big-time school, one of the best they ever do, especially with Kirby. It just means a lot, because they’ve been doing it for so long, even when I was in middle school, so it’s been great to keep doing that with them.” Georgia’s co-defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson has worked hard to build a genuine connection with Cole. That has been a key piece of Cole’s thought process of Georgia as well. “He’s (Travaris Robinson) been saying that a lot, texting my parents after games,” Cole said in January. “So it’s just been great, and I just always have love for them, I always will.” Adryan Cole Scouting Report Well-built safety with elite athleticism and a versatile skill set. Measured in at around 6-foot, 190 pounds prior to his senior season. Has plus length, with arms that measure at around 33 inches. Tests as the top athlete at the position nationally in the combine setting with a sensational showing at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp before his senior season. Lines up in multiple spots for his high school defense, including as a deep safety, at nickel, and rolled into the box. Athleticism shows up in coverage. Comfortable matching up with slot wide receivers in man coverage as a nickel. Has the burst to drive on the football, making plays against routes in the intermediate area of the field. Long speed shows up in his ability to stick with wide receivers on vertical routes. Rarely found out of phase on vertical routes. Pairs that skill with a physical edge. Shows pop and form as a tackler. Easily breaks down in open field tackling situations. Gets downhill in a hurry. Finished his junior season with 69 tackles, 1 sack and 1 interception. Can continue improving his ball production, but the cover skills look to be there. Combination of size, athleticism, and versatile skill set makes him one of the more well-rounded safety prospects in the 2027 cycle.
