George Kittle, Nick Bosa have no injury designations for Thursday's game

Published September 10, 2026 06:31 AM The 49ers are set to welcome two of their biggest stars back to the lineup for their first game of the 2026 season. Neither tight end George Kittle nor defensive end Nick Bosa received injury designations on the team’s final injury report ahead of their game against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia. Kittle is returning from a torn Achilles while Bosa has been working his way back from a torn ACL. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said this week that the team would be “smart” with both players given the extent of their injuries, so they may not play a full complement of snaps on Thursday. Defensive lineman James Thompson is listed as questionable while defensive lineman Alfred Collins has been ruled out after suffering a torn patellar tendon in practice earlier this week.
