We would listen to our elders. We never used to question. Now Gen Z wants logical answers,” he said, adding that Gen Z and Gen Alpha are “honest generations.”Talking about the police action on the student protesters in Delhi last month, Bhagwat said he did not have answers as to why the lathi charge and pellet gun were used.“Why did the lathi charge happen, pallet guns are used and need to study for the reason,” he said.Bhagwat also backed comprehensive reforms in education, saying one or two reforms are not enough.“I'll tell you, 2 - 3 are needed. Education is not a business, and we need to provide education to all. Need to work on fee structures," he said, while backing a demand for the share of education in India's budget to be increased to 6 per cent.“Public participation is important in education for school development to quality education. Focus on teachers' training. We are giving education to educate people, but not for business,” he said while elaborating on the needed reforms.
