Alyosha has the potential to be a powerful F2P Electro support character in Genshin Impact if you use the proper character build and team him up with the ideal units he will buff to strike down opponents. Alyosha is a 4-star Electro polearm character who acts as both a support and a healer for parties. He is one of the new characters in Genshin Impact 7.0, though he can be obtained from any banner in the game following his introduction in the patch’s Phase 1 banners. Alyosha is a pretty versatile Electro support and is capable of buffing the team’s active characters’ ATK stat, though he is best used as a support for Stellar-Conduct teams. This makes him a great partner for team comps with Odette in Genshin Impact, or those led by Sandrone, for example. Despite this versatility, there’s really only one way of building Alyosha. If you enjoy the character’s potential, you should consider investing in him, which may require some farming. Best Weapons For Alyosha (Best Polearms) To start, you’ll want to find a good polearm weapon for Alyosha to employ during combat. As a 4-star unit, he does not have a signature 5-star weapon, but the best option for him is Engulfing Lightning, Raiden Shogun’s signature polearm. This weapon gives the user Energy Recharge, which Alyosha will need because of how important his Burst is to his rotation. Furthermore, it increases his ATK based on his Energy Recharge above 100%, and he gains extra Energy Recharge after using his Burst. The table below lists some character build suggestions for Alyosha in Genshin Impact: Alyosha's Best Build In Genshin Impact Weapon Engulfing Lightning (Best 5-Star) Favonius Lance (Best 4-Star) Tamayuratei no Ohanashi (4-Star Alternative & F2P) Artifact Noblesse Oblige (4 pieces) Heart of the Furnace (4 pieces) Stat Priority Energy Recharge ATK Elemental Mastery Skill Priority Elemental Burst Elemental Skill Normal Attack Engulfing Lightning is a top-tier weapon for sub-DPS characters who scale on ATK and rely heavily on their Burst, as is the case with Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact. It is, however, a 5-star weapon, so it may not be a practical choice for the 4-star character. Alternatively, you can use the 4-star Favonius Lance, which is my personal pick for this build. With it, you’ll want to build up Alyosha’s CRIT Rate state to create more Elemental Particles, and with that, he’ll become a reliable battery for the team. Favonius Lance won’t be doing tons of damage, and you’ll want to try to reach as much CRIT Rate as possible to have better odds of creating Elemental Particles, which could be tricky when prioritizing other stats for Alyosha, but it pays off. Another 4-star weapon option for Alyosha is the free-to-play (F2P) polearm Tamayuratei no Ohanashi in Genshin Impact. This is an event weapon that serves the new Electro character perfectly. Best Artifacts & Stats For Alyosha The best Artifact set for Alyosha is Noblesse Oblige in Genshin Impact. With two pieces, this set gives the user’s Elemental Burst a 20% DMG increase. The four-piece bonus makes the Burst increase all party members’ ATK stat by 20% for 12 seconds. This effect can’t stack, meaning that if another character in the party uses the set, it will only be considered once. This is why only Alyosha should be using it. Heart of the Furnace is also a reliable set for him, though it’s best used on a damage-dealer in the Stellar Glimmer team, like Odette. When farming these Artifacts, you’ll want to look out for Energy Recharge as your main priority, which is then followed by ATK. If Alyosha is using the Favonius Lance, remember to search for a bit more CRIT Rate to have him create Elemental Particles more frequently. Best Team Comps For Alyosha Alyosha is a remarkable support for Stellar-Conduct teams, and his best team comp is the same as Odette’s. Alyosha will serve as a support and healer, while Odette deals off-field Cryo and Stellar Glimmer reaction DMG. The main DPS should be a strong Cryo or Electro unit, though Sandrone is the best choice for this team. Lastly, a secondary source of Electro application like Yae Miko or Fischl in Genshin Impact will round out the team to operate smoothly. The table below lists a few team comp suggestions for Alyosha: Alyosha's Best Team Comps In Genshin Impact Stellar-Conduct Team Alyosha (Electro Support & Healer) Odette (Cryo Sub-DPS) Sandrone (Cryo DPS) - Wriothesley (Cryo DPS) Yae Miko (Electro Sub-DPS) F2P Team Alyosha (Electro Support & Healer) Cryo Traveler (Cryo DPS) Fischl (Electro Sub-DPS) Layla (Cryo Sub-DPS & Shielder) - Charlotte (Cryo Sub-DPS & Healer) Alyosha is not limited to Stellar-Conduct reactions, however, and can be used as an Electro support for Overloaded team comps that have a Pyro DPS whose DMG scales on ATK. He can also be used in Electro-Charged and Quicken teams, though there are better Electro units for those teams instead of Alyosha. Skill (Talent) Priority For Alyosha As you’re leveling up Alyosha and upgrading his Talents, you’ll need to prioritize improving his Elemental Burst. This is the core pillar of his kit, and, ideally, you’ll want to activate the Burst every rotation swap, which will allow for consistent Electro application, ATK buffs, and healing. His Elemental Skill is your secondary priority. You can, if you desire, completely ignore his Normal Attack, because he shouldn’t be on the field long enough to use it. Alyosha is an approachable and straightforward Electro support that serves a variety of teams, but thrives in Stellar-Conduct parties. In Version 7.0, he’s a necessary option in Odette team comps, and will likely be replaced. However, his status as a F2P character in Genshin Impact gives him some advantages, allowing you to enjoy the new reaction variant from the get-go.
