Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem al-Budaiwi has condemned the attacks on King Khalid International airport in Riyadh as “treacherous terrorist attacks.” Al-Budaiwi said in a statement on Saturday “the repeated targeting of this civilian facility embodies a criminal pattern rooted in terrorising peaceful civilians and endangering the lives of travellers and workers". He added that GCC members “stand united alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing full support for all measures undertaken to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents".
