The show follows Clive, a widowed retired teacher, and Shelley Anne, an environmental health officer, who strike up an unlikely friendship as Shelley Anne goes through a bitter divorce. In the show, the duo hit it off while both attending appointments at a knee trauma clinic. The plot follows the pair as they explore second chances in their lives, and embrace the fact that they’re over 50. Ruth and Steve have shot the comedy in and around South Wales, including in the Brecon Beacons, with the action taking place in a fictional Welsh village called Brynfach. Elsewhere, Ruth’s former Gavin and Stacey co-star Joanna Page is being tipped to appear in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
