While the company have said their most vulnerable customers are receiving bottled water as they work quickly to fix the issue, the UK’s second largest airport has been left in the lurch. Julia Hartley-Brewer said on a post to X that she was disappointed the airport didn’t announce the water supply issue quickly. “If you’re on your way to Gatwick Airport, it might be helpful to know that there is no running water across the entire airport,” she said. Gatwick is the worst!” In a statement posted to their social media account, the airport said: “A water issue in the Horley area is causing disruption at the airport this morning. “The problem is affecting water supply in both terminals and is currently under investigation. At present, there has been no impact on flights. “Bottled water is being made available to passengers and staff across the airport and other contingency measures are being put in place to ensure the welfare of our passengers. “We apologise for any inconvenience to passengers.” 2 comments2
