Marvel's X-Men reboot has added a Game of Thrones alum. The X-Men were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, debuting in The X-Men #1 in 1963, and slowly became a multi-billion-dollar franchise. The first line-up included Professor Charles Xavier, Cyclops, Jean Grey/Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel, and Iceman. The comics have been adapted numerous times, including a live-action movie franchise, leading to numerous spinoffs, sequels, and prequels. Now, Marvel Studios is revitalizing the X-Men franchise with a major reboot. In a new report by Knight Edge Media, it has been seemingly revealed that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms star Peter Claffey has been cast as Hank McCoy, otherwise known as Beast, in the Marvel Studios X-Men reboot. Claffey, taking on the role, has been heavily rumored to portray the Beast alongside Charles Melton. However, the Irish actor seemingly got the role in Marvel Studios' reboot after a record-breaking run as Sir Duncan the Tall in HBO's Game of Thrones spinoff. ScreenRant has reached out to Disney for comment. Dr. Henry Philip "Hank" McCoy evolved from a human-looking genius into a blue, furry, simian/feline intellectual and ruthless strategist. Over the years, the character had many different variations, but in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, Kelsey Grammer took on the role as an older Hank with cameo appearances in The Marvels. Nicholas Hoult played a younger Hank across the prequel era in titles such as 2011's X-Men: First Class, 2014's Days of Future Past, and 2016's Apocalypse. Marvel Studios have officially confirmed Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Scott Summers/Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Inde Navarrette as Anna Marie/Rogue, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Maya Boyd as Ororo Munroe/Storm, Asa Germann as Warren Worthington III/Angel, and Adam Driver as Nathaniel Milbury/Mr. Sinister. Halle Berry, who portrayed the beloved character Storm in the early 2000s, stated that Boyd is "going to kill it. You know what I mean? Yeah, there’s people playing Storm. No, my Storm was my Storm and I wish her so well." In a report by Deadline, it was revealed that filming for the MCU's X-Men reboot would begin early in 2027, as more casting announcements are expected to be revealed. More to come...
