While not all of these have been quite the smash hit Warner Bros. may have hoped for, many have resonated with fans. Among all the brand-new Game of Thrones experiences was one so popular that it sold out incredibly quickly. Its absence, however, was felt by those too slow to get to it the first time around, or who simply got into Game of Thrones late, as it allowed fans to truly engage with one of the most important characters in the franchise's history. Fortunately, after an extremely long wait, it is back and available for those who missed out to purchase. However, like last time, anyone interested will have to act quickly, as it could very well disappear any time soon. One of the most popular Game of Thrones' spin-off projects is its board game adaptation, simply titled A Game of Thrones: The Board Game. It allowed players to vie for control over the iron throne themselves, as many of the book's legendary factions and characters, either through diplomacy and deception, or straight-up conquering. It was hailed as a triumph in board game design and seen as a faithful adaptation that offered a novel way of immersing oneself in the experience. There was even a digital Game of Thrones board game edition that made it more accessible. One of the expansions for the board game was Mother of Dragons, which brought Essos to the table (literally) as well as the Eyrie. It was well regarded and, as aforementioned, sold out almost instantly. Considering the sheer amount of practically necessary content it adds to the GoT board game experience, it is understandable why fans would want it to return in some form. Of course, it has been available through second-hand sellers, but beyond that getting a copy has proven almost impossible. Fortunately, the Mother of Dragons expansion is back in stock, although one can imagine only for a very limited time. It can be purchased on back-order from Zatu Games for $35.18, which is already discounted from its original price of $44.99. This marks a perfect opportunity to return to Game of Thrones and finally complete the collection, especially for those who are already invested in the board game and know that they actively want more content for it. It isn't clear whether the Game of Thrones: Mother of Dragons expansion will be back again, or indeed when this new stock will be dispatched, as the Zatu Games website merely states that the delivery timeframe is to be confirmed. However, that doesn't necessarily mean fans should impulsively rush out to get it, as second-hand copies will always be available. Regardless, it is great to see this legendary Game of Thrones expansion return, if only for a while, and it serves as a good reminder to break out the board game and give it another shot.
