That said, if you're looking to get a House of the Dragon fix and don't want to wait over a year to see what happens in HBO's adaptation, fan-favorite character Hugh Hammer is officially making a return in Game of Thrones: Ascendant Dragonrider, a newly announced release arriving this month (via GoTC). September's Dragonseeds update is bringing Hugh Hammer to Game of Thrones: Conquest as a powerful new Mythic Hero. Appropriately titled the Ascendant Dragonrider, Hugh serves as a Master of War on the Small Council and is designed primarily around Ranged troops, larger marches, and Seat of Power (SoP) combat. His first Signature Skill increases Max March Size, while his second provides a Ranged Attack bonus against SoPs, making him particularly useful for players participating in large-scale territorial battles. Hugh can increase Ranged Attack against other players and March Size in player combat, while also boosting a Dragon's maximum march size and its attack power when fighting opposing Dragons. His fifth skill improves Rallied Troop Capacity against Seats of Power, giving him another valuable advantage during coordinated assaults, while his final Council skill increases Ranged Attack specifically against enemy Ranged troops. Taken together, Hugh is clearly built as an offensive Hero capable of strengthening both conventional armies and Dragon-supported attacks. Hugh arrives as part of September's larger Dragonseeds Arc, running from September 1 through September 25 and inspired by Rhaenyra's search for riders capable of claiming un-bonded dragons. The update also introduces fellow Hero Alys Rivers, the new Cavalry-focused Dragonseed Gear Set, and the Ever-Ready Warrior Saddle for Dragons. Throughout the month, players can participate in themed events including The Red Sowing, Quenched Flames, two Arc Recipe events, and Of Salt and Sea, alongside the game's usual PvE, PvP, crafting, and power-up activities.
