The 9am attraction, called Out-of-hours tour: Life and death in ancient Egypt, will also show how funerary remains “can tell us about the lives of the ancient Egyptians”. The former academic said: “I wonder what the ancient civilisations would make of today’s woke nonsense. “The warning seems incredibly preachy and written for the sake of it. It’s complete overkill.” The alert follows a warning of “grief, suicide and mental illness” in Shakespeare’s Hamlet at London’s National Theatre.
