FURIOUS Vinted sellers claim they’re being hit with account warnings and bans after reducing the prices of their items. The reselling app has strict rules for sellers and will take down listings or even ban sellers if they don’t follow the guidelines. But some sellers allege they’re being mistakenly warned or banned even when they’re sticking with the rules. Under Vinted‘s guidelines, sellers are not allowed to repeatedly delete and relist the same item. It’s meant to stop sellers from deleting and relisting items constantly or in large batches in a bid to game the algorithm and get their products seen by more people. Most sellers can usually relist an item a couple of times maximum if it’s gone unsold for a long time and hasn’t had much interest recently. However, sellers on the Idiots of Vinted Official Facebook group claim they’ve received warnings or bans just for changing the price of their items. One seller shared a screenshot from Vinted saying her listing of a Next girl’s dress had been removed because it was a “duplicate listing”. The seller wrote: “I didn’t even list it twice! All I did was reduce the price as it hadn’t sold after a couple of weeks. Most read in Money “I wasn’t aware we can’t reduce the price?!” Another said: “Yeah they did it to me last week on 3 items. One of them they apologised and put back on. I reduced it yesterday and they took it off again!” A third person added: “I changed my price today and got blocked straight away.” And another wrote: “Adjusting the price seems to have this effect sometimes, it’s ridiculous!” Meanwhile another seller said she received a five-day ban for relisting two M&S skirts and lowering the price.
