Full list of 106 postcodes hit by Royal Mail delivery delays again today – is your town listed?

ROYAL Mail has warned that 106 postcodes will not receive their post on time for a second day in a row. The postal service has told residents in multiple areas across England and Wales they may once again face delays today. Locations ranging from Blyth in Northumberland to Yeovil in Somerset have been impacted, with the postal service citing a number of reasons for the slow service. Royal Mail tells customers on its website: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week. “In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.” The postcodes affected by the issue received the exact same warning from the Royal Mail yesterday, labelling these sorting offices as the “most impacted” by these problems. Over the weekend, the service warned of similar problems across 87 postcodes, which followed an alert for 90 postcodes last week, and 153 postcodes the week before that. Amid recent delays, Royal Mail has updated its ‘Something for you’ cards to include a QR code and nine-digit number to let customers find out the location and status of their parcel online. Last week, the service also announced it would trial a new fleet of electric bikes to speed up deliveries in London, Brighton, and Cambridge.
