Fulham star Josh King admits he has ‘VENDETTA’ against Chelsea after finally banishing controversial strike with goal

JOSH KING’s “vendetta” against Chelsea wasn’t enough to get an opening day win for Fulham. But that hasn’t stopped him and his teammates from dreaming of a European place this season. It was his second successive season scoring against the Blues, although his last one was controversially disallowed at Stamford Bridge, before then winning Fulham’s Goal of the Month award – and it’s something he is very aware of. King said: “I don’t know (what it is with me and Chelsea) maybe I had a slight vendetta against them or redemption story going on. “All I can do is try and contribute, hopefully it won’t be the last this season – I’ll keep working on my finishing and hopefully I’ll score more and more.” Fulham perhaps shocked a few people with just how much they took the game to Xabi Alonso’s side, and will feel hard done by not to have gotten a point. After losing their two main goalscorers in Harry Wilson and Raul Jimenez, it looked difficult to see them finishing in the top half of the table for most this campaign. In fact, many are tipping them to either just stay afloat, or even be relegated. But on Monday nights evidence they will certainly be better than people thought under Alvaro Arbeloa, and King is dreaming of finishing in a European place come May.
