Muir was being hunted down by GMP’s Wythenshawe division as he was wanted “on recall to prison”, according to Manchester Evening News. The man, who has links to Wythenshawe, Hale and Altrincham, was less than impressed with the photo the force used in its appeal to locate him. The reply began to receive hundreds of likes, as Muir taunted officers online. But in a turn of events, GMP Wythenshawe uploaded another Facebook post on Tuesday saying: “Remember Nathan Muir who wanted a ‘better pic’ on his recall to prison appeal? “Good news, Muir was arrested this morning at an address in #Stockport following extensive enquiries and has been sent back to prison. Most read in The Sun “We’d like to thank those who shared our appeal.” In the unexpected post by the force, it included a photo of Muir appearing to have put on weight and with no abs in sight. One person commented under the post saying: “Looks like the prison gym just got its star member back, back to getting a free membership with no cancellation fees”.
