Frontier Passenger Takes Someone’s Seat, Holds Up Boarding To Call Flight Attendant A “Jive Turkey”

An older man boarded a Frontier Airlines flight, took a seat that wasn’t his, and argued with flight attendants instead of moving. He repeatedly demands the crewmember’s last name and, according to the person who posted video, calls her a “jive turkey.” Another passenger finally tells him, “You are holding up the flight right now, sir.” The man is seated several rows ahead of the person recording. A flight attendant appears to be trying to inspect his boarding pass and establish where he belongs. He doesn’t seem interested in solving that problem. He asks for her last name, asks again, and complains that she will not listen to him. The man becomes more agitated, says that he is “sick of this,” and at one point tells someone, “Stop bugging me with the jive…” That’s language you hear in a 1970s sitcom? And once you’re deploying “jive turkey” against a flight attendant, you’re losing. One passenger admonishes him for the way he is talking because there are families onboard. He finally stands. The clip ends with him in the aisle surrounded by crew and passengers. I’ve covered nearly this exact behavior before. In 2019 an American Airlines passenger flying from Dallas to Los Angeles assigned himself a better bulkhead seat, refused to give it up, and was eventually removed in a wheelchair.
