The Lychee Martini in its dusky pink tin is a smasher. Pale pink and sweet, it has a slight synthetic note, so it’s not as pure as I would like. But it’s good for the price. Since launching two weeks ago the tins have sold out regularly. With their candy-cane packaging, these are well branded and affordably premium. The Hot Honey Margarita packs a fiery punch, while the Caipirinha and Moscow Mule are night-out worthy, if a tad sweet. With the Mule at 10% ABV and the other two at 15%, they’re pretty powerful. But Dame Jess has always been about balance and loves pink plonk. Her wine has an ABV of just 7%, but you can barely tell. It still hits the spot with its sappy salinity and red-berry charm. Hats off to Master of Wine Ray O’Connor at Atelier Wines who teamed up with her to make it. Another winner.
