Friends star reveals her daughter, 25, is fighting bone cancer battle with a ‘long journey ahead’

A FRIENDS star has revealed her 25-year-old daughter, Ellie, is fighting bone cancer in an emotional new post. The TV star played one of Ross Geller’s long-term girlfriends and appeared in a significant amount of series two. She said: “I wanted to share some tough news today… Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! “This is my beautiful daughter, Ellie. She is currently battling osteosarcoma, (bone cancer) and my family and I are doing everything we can to aid in her healing. “I am reminded of the Fred Rogers quote, ‘When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” Read more on Friends stars She continued: “In that light, I’d like to thank our friends and family, and the incredible doctors and nurses at @cedarssinai for their ongoing boundless support, love, and care. “It is truly humbling to see how willing people are to reach out and help.” “Ellie is an amazing, deep, sensitive, wise, strong, brave, intelligent, and funny soul. Beautiful inside and out,” wrote Lauren. “We have a long journey ahead of us.. would you be so kind to keep Ellie in your prayers for a complete recovery.” Most read in TV One fan wrote: “Sending prayers and positive energy to Ellie and to you.” Another fan said: “Ellie! You got this! Stay positive!” Lauren, 64, shared a slew of pictures of a smiling Ellie as showed her support for her daughter taking on the cruel disease. The actress starred in seven episodes of the American sitcom and was first introduced during the last episode of season one. Rachel Green, played by Jennifer Anniston, was at the airport to finally confess her feelings to Ross (David Schwimmer), but her plans soon crumbled when Julie got off the plane looking loved-up with him. Julie’s storyline unfolded in series two as she started seriously dating Ross. Their romance didn’t last though after Ross found out Rachel had feelings for him. The fan-favourite couple finally got together, leaving poor Julie in the dust. Lauren has also made appearances in shows Grace Under Fire, Men In Trees, and Supernatural. Comment now
