Fred Again.. and Latin Mafia Are Making a Mixtape and Livestreaming the Entire Process

The livestream will only end when they finish recording their latest collab Latin Mafia‘s revolution with Fred Again.. will be livestreamed. The Mexican trio have linked up with the global DJ to put the finishing touches on their joint mixtape. All the action is now being captured in a YouTube livestream. “Without a doubt, [Fred Again..] is one of the brightest musical minds that we have met,” Latin Mafia’s Milton de la Rosa tells Rolling Stone before the livestream. “It’s been a crazy experience to work with him because he’s a very talented person.” Latin Mafia went on Fred’s radar after he declared himself a fan of their debut album, 2024’s Todos Los Días Todo El Día. Since then, he had them over at his home in London where they have also hung out with and worked on music with Fred’s close collaborator and brother Benjy Gibson. Latin Mafia includes Milton and his brothers Emilio and Mike, so this project has been a family affair. “They’re very good people,” Emilio says. “We love them so much. I would dare to say that they’re close friends of ours.” With both Latin Mafia and Fred’s music rooted in emotions and the human experience, this is the perfect crossover collaboration. In a recent Instagram post, Fred gushed about them. “[Latin Mafia] are makin some of my favourite music in the world right now,” he wrote. “It’s so beautiful but surprising but contained but adventurous.” Last December, Latin Mafia joined Fred for the last show of his USB002 Tour in Mexico City. Before the concert, they recorded an audiovisual performance called Under the Fabric (Mexico City, 11th December 2025), which is a taste of their upcoming mixtape. Following a one-day premiere at the Cine Tonalá in Mexico City, the short film is now streaming on YouTube. Trending Stories “It’s very fun to make music with [Fred and Benjy], but it’s also demanding in a way because we have to follow their rhythm,” Mike adds. “They’re quick and very good at what they do. We like to work with them because we challenge ourselves to be on their level.” The end of Under the Fabric ended with today’s date, July 28. That was a hint to Latin Mafia and Fred meeting up in Mexico City where they’re currently holed up in a studio with Benjy. Since this afternoon, they are livestreaming the whole creative process on YouTube. The three-day livestream won’t end until they’re done recording their highly-anticipated mixtape. This latest ambitious project with Fred comes on the heels of Latin Mafia partying with Rosalía and collaborating with acts like Kevin Abstract, Dominic Fike, Álvaro Diaz, Tainy, and Yandel.
