Fourth GCC Youth Forum begins in Salalah

Salalah: The fourth GCC Youth Forum began today at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.The 5-day forum is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsin Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality.The forum aims to introduce successful experiences and practices in the digital content industry in GCC states. It seeks to develop the skills of young entrepreneurs in the fields of planning and the development of youth initiatives in accordance with methodological principles.The forum also aims to explore joint initiatives undertaken by Gulf youth that can be implemented through the GCC Secretariat General.The forum began with a workshop that dealt with the theme of soft power and its role in shifting from mere observation of culture to the concept of generating influence, as well as the role of content creators in shaping a social image and converting local identity into an attractive content.The forum also focuses on enabling youth to acquire the types of knowledge and skills necessary for planning, managing and implementing initiatives.
