Four women and two men arrested on suspicion of murder after woman, 23, found dead in Islington home

NewsUK News FOUR women and two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 23-year-old woman was found dead at a home in London. Cops raced to an address in Islington, London, on Thursday following reports of concern for a woman’s welfare. Responding officers found a 23-year-old woman unresponsive at the property on Bollinder Place. Officers arrested four women, aged 20, 21, 23 and 26, and two men, aged 21 and 24, at the scene. All six were taken into custody on suspicion of murder and have all since been released on bail while enquiries continue. An ongoing probe to trace the 23-year-old woman’s next-of kin has been launched, once identified specially trained officers will offer their support. A murder probe into the tragedy remains ongoign with officers carrying out forensic work to identify suspects. The force is asking anyone with any information that may assist their investigation to come forward. Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who leads on policing in the local area, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the young woman who has lost her life. Most read in The Sun “We understand that news of an incident like this will cause concern within the local community. “Local officers will continue to be visible in the area and are available to speak with residents who have questions or concerns. “While enquiries remain ongoing, information available to us at this stage indicates this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.” Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our investigation is progressing at pace and detectives are working to establish exactly what happened in the time leading up to this woman’s death. “A number of people were arrested at the scene and have since been released on bail while enquiries continue. “Officers have been carrying out forensic examinations, reviewing available evidence and speaking to witnesses to build a full picture of the circumstances. “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation. “No matter how insignificant it may seem, I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak with us.”
