PUBLISHED : 25 Aug 2026 at 04:26 The rescued Chinese woman (photos: Kamphaeng Phet police) KAMPHAENG PHET - Police arrested four Thai men after a Chinese woman abducted from a hotel in Bangkok escaped from a car while being taken to Mae Sot district in Tak province, on the Myanmar border.The woman fled, her hands still bound with cable ties, as they passed through Kamphaeng Phet province, which adjoins Tak. Kamphaeng Phet police said the Chinese woman was taken from Bangkok in a black Nissan Teana. She fled from the vehicle in tambon Nai Muang of Muang district The victim had a Chinese passport and had apparently been assaulted, Her lips were swollen and there were bruises on her body. Kamphaeng Phet police had subsquently followed the suspects' car. They stopped it in tambon Lan Dokmai of Muang district and arrested two men, natives of Mae Sot district. They were identified as Somkiat, 41, and Kittiporn, 24. Two other suspects fled, avoiding arrest. They were later apprehended at a temple in tambon Lan Dokmai on Monday evening. They were identified as Suchart, 41, and Kittisak, 22. Police believe the gang had intended to take the woman to Mae Sot district, and then possibly to Myanmar. The victim was injured.
