To start, it’s worth emphasizing what a special property this is. Hotel Danieli (as it’s known, outside of specific branding) is the oldest hotel in Venice, and has been operating for 200 years now. The hotel is spread out over three historic buildings, from the 14th and 19th centuries. The property is also located close to St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, and other popular sights of Venice.Four Seasons Venice locationFour Seasons Venice exteriorFour Seasons Venice initially has 120 keys, though in 2027 we’ll see the addition of another 56 keys, so the final room count will be 176. That will include 97 rooms and 79 suites. French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has been behind the project (he’s the same designer behind Four Seasons’ properties in Florence, Paris, Cap-Ferrat, and Megève).This is Four Seasons’ fourth property in Italy, as the group also has hotels in Florence, Milan, and Taormina (Sicily).Four Seasons Venice rates & how to bookWith the Four Seasons Venice now open, what are rates like? As you’d expect, there’s quite a bit of seasonal variation, with summer being most expensive, and winter being cheapest (admittedly the hotel has only opened as of late July, which misses the peak summer rush).First, it’s worth mentioning that it always makes sense to keep an eye on the hotel’s offers page, as you’ll sometimes find offers like a free night promotion, extra property credit, etc. (as of the time of this post, the only promotion is a spending credit bonus).Currently, I see rates starting at a little over $1,000 per night in winter, and rates starting at around $2,000 per night in summer.Four Seasons Venice room ratesIf you’re going to book this hotel (or any Four Seasons), you should generally book through a travel advisor who is affiliated with the Four Seasons Preferred Partner program.
