Four people, including three children, drowned in a water body near Vidi Wala Pir Dargah in Rajkot, Gujarat while trying to rescue a seven-year-old boy who had begun drowning, police said. The incident took place when the group had entered the water to bathe.Among the deceased were three children aged between seven and 10 years, along with an 18-year-old.According to the information available, the four had gone to the water body at Ghuna, near the Vidi Wala Pir Dargah on the route from Bedi village towards Hadmatiya.While they were bathing,the seven-year-old began drowning. Three others entered the water in an attempt to save him but were also swept into the water. All four subsequently drowned. LOCALS RESCUE, POLICE BEGIN INVESTIGATIONLocal residents later pulled the four victims out of the water.The incident was reported to the Kuvada Road police, who reached the spot and began an investigation.
