EYE UP A CHEAP TEST: Check your vision as well as spotting health conditions during an eye test. These examinations cost around £30 but if you’re over 60 or under 18, or receiving certain benefits such as Pension Credit, you can get an NHS-funded eye test in England. If you don’t qualify for the free check, we found you can get it for £10 at selected Specsavers stores. Look up your local store online and check for a voucher, which you then print and present at the store. We found it at branches including Nottingham and Maidenhead.
